Digital Rain Color Guide
Color changes the whole feel of digital rain. The generator includes five presets and a custom color picker. Here is what each one suits.
Classic green: #00FF66
The familiar look. It reads as technical and a little mysterious, and it is easy on the eyes against black. This is the best choice if you want the instantly recognizable effect.
Cyan: #00E5FF
A cooler, more futuristic feel. It suits science, technology and gaming themes and looks sharp in screen recordings.
Amber: #FFB000
Amber text on black recalls old computer terminals. It is warm and nostalgic, and a good fit for retro and vintage-style content.
Magenta: #FF2A6D
Neon pink and red give a cyberpunk mood. It is loud and eye-catching, so it works well for thumbnails and short clips.
Purple: #BD00FF
Purple feels creative and moody, and it stands out because it is less common than green.
Choosing your own
- Keep it bright. The background is nearly black, so dark colors such as navy or brown become hard to see.
- Match your brand. Use the custom color picker with your logo or channel color.
- Think about the use. Calm colors suit wallpapers. Bright colors suit videos and thumbnails.
- Combine with trail length. A long trail with a bright color gives the glowing look in a still image.
